A MIDICraft Magazine Sample Disk is released for each issue of the MIDICraft Magazine - the MIDICraft Sample Disks are all filled with first class sampled sounds for the Amiga, for use in any music editor, like ProTracker, NoiseTracker, MED, OctaMED Professional, Oktalyzer, even Sonix, Music-X, and many many other music programs!!! Each of the sample disks is specialized - one specific Synthesizer, Drum Computer, Sound Effects, Sound Card and Sample CDs etc., is sampled for each of the MIDICraft sample disks, or one specific category of instrument/sounds will be presented on each disk. The MIDICraft Sample Disks are available from the same places you get the MIDICraft Magazine, i.e. directly from the MIDICraft staff or any company selling the MIDICraft Magazine and sample disks with original MIDICraft Magazine disk labels. To ensure easy compatibility with the most popular music editors, the disks are named ST-xx where 'xx' is a 2-digit number starting from 0 and increasing by one for each MIDICraft Magazine Sample Disk. This disk is labeled ST-01. =============================================================================== INFO ABOUT THIS DISK These sounds originate from a variety of CDs and/or synthesiser's. In this case you will find various, synthesizer sounds, together with an assortment of individual drum and percussion sounds from the Classic Korg M1 Synthesizer Module/Keyboard sampled at a Rate of 28185 Khz and at a Pitch of A3. They may be looped and combined in any suitable software to form drum breaks or grooves, play them back at the same pitch A3 to hear them as sampled. Each of these two disks can be bought separately or together - that's up to you. Each Magazine Disk contains news, reviews, previews, hints & tips, tutorials, new sounds for popular synthesizers, lots of great Amiga-only music, lots of great MIDI music, and last but not least - the latest in sound- and music utilities! The MIDICraft Sample Disks are all stuffed full of superb quality samples from the latest and best in synthesizers, drum machines etc. All MIDICraft Magazine Disks and Sample Disks are system-friendly, and use flexible and system-friendly routines and standard AmigaDOS file system, so all files on the disk can easily be taken out and copied anywhere. Also, the Magazine works on all Amigas (except the old 1.3 systems), and work fine on PAL or NTSC! The MIDICraft magazine can also be run from a harddisk environment. The music, text, utilities, sound files etc. on the magazine are not coded or protected in any way. Everything is stored in standard AmigaDOS files with proper filenames, which makes it easy to study the music closer by loading it into the correct music editor - or to copy the utilities to your own disks or harddisk. The MIDICraft Magazine can be started from your own workbench environment. Unlike other magazines - you do not have to reset your Amiga and boot with the magazine disk. Of course, you can reset and boot if you prefer to. Both will work fine! MIDICraft pays cash money to programmers of quality sound/music utilities for licensing their program to MIDICraft instead of releasing it as "normal" P.D. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - MIDICraft Magazine PRICES After reading about everything that MIDICraft offers, you're pretty sure it must be expensive, right? MIDICraft Magazine is a disk-based magazine especially published for everyone who has an Amiga and is interested in music. Whether you're into composing music, collecting music, arranging music, studying music, or even if you just like listening to good music, then the MIDICraft Magazine has lots to offer you. Each issue of MIDICraft consists of two disks: The Magazine Disk, and the Sample Disk. They are always released together, but if you just want to buy the MIDICraft Magazine, you don't have to buy both disks - you can choose just one of them if you prefer that. The MIDICraft Magazine Disk contains music, articles, Amiga music and MIDI utilities, news, reviews, MIDI and Music-X music, tutorials, hints & tips, tech-corners, and everything about music in general. Everything is nicely laid out with a menu and running with system-friendly routines, so that the magazine won't crash your computer, and so that you can easily take out the files and examine them and/or copy them to other disks etc. The MIDICraft menu system was programmed by Teijo Kinnunen, the author of MED and OctaMED Professional and Published and Copyright by RBF Software. The MIDICraft Sample Disks are filled up with new and fresh superb quality sound samples for use in any music editor or sound sampling package. The MIDICraft production staff has access to some synthesizers and sampling CD's etc. A special group of instruments, a special synthesizer or sound effects will be the "theme" of each MIDICraft sample disk. For example, MIDICraft Sample Disk #1 contains Korg M1 Synth and Drum and Percussion sounds. 2) FINANCIAL SITUATION OF MIDICraft Magazine? MIDICraft is not being produced for financial gain, but simply for pleasure and interest. The magazine is being distributed by the MIDICraft production staff themselves, and by selected PD distributors who support our work. When a PD distributor sells a MIDICraft disk, a small proportion of the price for this disk is given to the production staff, so that they can continue producing the magazine without losing any money on it! If the production staff should gain more money than they have spent on MIDICraft, and they get a profit, then this money will be used to pay selected contributors or programmers to produce high quality material for use in MIDICraft. So whatever money is gained on MIDICraft, is put back into the magazine, to create an even better product. 3) HOW OFTEN IS MIDICraft Magazine RELEASED? MIDICraft has decided to release each issue monthly which means our target for the first year of publication is 12 MIDICraft Magazine issues! We also intend to collect quality material for each issue and ensure each disk is 100% full, before we release it. This may vary of course, but every attempt is being made to reach our intended dead-lines and projected targets! We hope each published MIDICraft Magazine will never take longer than 6 weeks, we promise!! 4) COPYRIGHT / COPYING / SELLING MIDICraft Magazine? You are allowed to copy MIDICraft for your friends. BUT you are not allowed to take any money for it, not even a small fee to cover for the disk and postage. You may not take one single penny for it. MIDICraft is Freeware and may only be copied For Free. If you take any money at all for it, it will be regarded as selling the magazine, and then you must fulfill the royalty demand from the production staff, and send a royalty of 1 UK POUND for each MIDICraft disk you sell. Before doing this, you must register with us to become a "MIDICraft Dealer". (More on that below). 5) WHERE/HOW CAN I GET MIDICraft Magazine? You can either buy MIDICraft directly from the MIDICraft production staff, or from any MIDICraft Dealer. If you buy it directly from MIDICraft, you will obviously receive it as soon as it's released. It takes a few days or weeks before it is available from the Dealers. You can also take out a subscription for future issues, if you buy directly from MIDICraft. As far as we know, no MIDICraft dealers offer this possibility. If you want to buy MIDICraft disks directly from the MIDICraft staff, or if you wish to subscribe for future issues of MIDICraft then the prices are as follows: 6) HOW TO SUBSCRIBE FOR FUTURE ISSUES OF MIDICraft Magazine? Making sure you get your future issues of MIDICraft as soon as they are published is very simple. Just send us your order and tell us which issues you are paying for. You will be entered into a database, and when the new issues are published the magazine disk will be dispatched and you will receive them through the mail immediately! Say, for example, that you want to buy the first 10 issues of MIDICraft, with both the Magazine Disks and the Sample Disks. That's 20 disks total. Simply send money for 20 disks, and write in your order: "I WANT MIDICraft MAGAZINE DISKS 1-10 AND MIDICraft SAMPLE DISKS 1-10". Then, you will immediately receive the disks that have already been released, whereas the future disks will be sent to you as soon as they have been published! 7) MIDICraft Magazine DEALERS (WANTED!) The MIDICraft production staff is still looking for more MIDICraft Dealers in the U.K. and Channel Isles, in all European Countries, USA and Canada, Australia, South Africa, Japan and generally all Countries overseas! If you are running a PD company, or if you are thinking of starting one, or if you would just like make a little extra money by distributing the MIDICraft Magazine, then feel free to get in touch and become an official MIDICraft Dealer. If you want to sell MIDICraft disks, then each disk you sell MUST have an original MIDICraft Magazine disk label on it! These labels can be bought from the MIDICraft production staff, at 1 UK POUND each! If you sell a MIDICraft Magazine disk without an original MIDICraft disk label, then you are contravening the MIDICraft Copyright and you will liable to prosecusion under the International Software Theft laws not to mention the big guys at all the registered MIDICraft Dealers and the MIDICraft Prouction Staff. So you must first buy disk-labels from MIDICraft, and then you can sell as many disks as you have labels for. Then you buy more labels, and so on. You can choose whatever price you want to sell the MIDICraft disks for. As long as we get our 1 GBP per disk sold, we will not interfere with how you sell it, price it or market it. As long as you buy a minimum of 10 disk labels each month (anyone can sell 10 disks a month), you will have status as a MIDICraft Dealer, and you will automatically receive all MIDICraft disks as soon as they are Published! If you want to become an MIDICraft Dealer, we would love to hear from you. Send your order for original MIDICraft Magazine disk labels (1 GBP each) to: MIDICraft Magazine Kevan R.Craft 12 Mount Road Halton Runcorn Cheshire. WA7 2BH. England.
